Africa, the cradle of humanity, is in dire straits. As a result of outside interest in the continent’s resources. The indigenous inhabitants have been intentionally maligned, miseducated and colonized and bastardized by the European Rulers since Alexander the Greek. My thoughts were what would happen if we made Africans great again.
If only they knew of their illustrious past before European (Arabic) conquest and subjugation. The tagline is a precursor to having the conversation of when Africans created what we call civilization, astronomy, cosmology, medicine, arts, music, etc. all begin in the Nile Valley basin and travelled down the river up to Kemit (renamed Egypt by the Greeks).
During this time the Nile River carried the original inhabitants from the region known today as Uganda, with the River Niger taking Africans from east Africa to west Africa.
At this time, there was no desert in Africa. The Sahara was lush and green. Following these migratory patterns and world-renowned accomplishments came the invasions starting with the Greeks, Romans, Turks, Arabs, any other warrior class.
With these continued invasions and destruction of infrastructure and intellectual continuity and institutions, came the conquest and imposition of foreign tongues imposed upon the Inhabitants. Beginning with the Greeks and currently held sway by the G8, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Also, Africans have been divided using religion. The Greeks and the Romans came with “the Christ” that Coptic priest created for them and again they left with human beings that they enslaved. Then the Arabs brought “Mohammadism” into Africa. They too departed with enslaved inhabitants, gold, and land.
The Catholic church also played a huge part in the destruction of African civilization. It was in 1493 when Pope Alexander the Sixth issued the doctrine of discovery. Thereby creating the false narrative of race and institutionalized it to justify their violence and theft. The Catholic church as it’s known today, due to these practices are one of the largest landowners on the planet earth. Resources such as land, gold, diamonds, cobalt, uranium, and a host of others have been and still are being pillaged from the African continent to enrich the other nations.
My love of self and my ancient African history, that’s been stolen, hidden, and denied for centuries has led to this passion project. I’m hoping to restore Africans’ pride both at home and in the diaspora one (Make-Africa-Great-Again) hat at a time.
Each of us has the responsibility to awaken another human being about Africa’s rich history. So, purchase a hat, learn African historicity, share a story and let’s “Make Africa Great Again”!
